Wisconsin

We are all alive and well. We left on Saturday to go to my parents house in Wisconsin. We picked up SueAnn in Birmingham and drove through the night to Wisconsin. The kids were great and we could not have asked for better weather. We are now in the frozen north and are adjusting. I have a sinus/head cold, so I am just trying to keep up. I heard from Chris in Arkansas, and he was in the emergency room with kidney stones. It seems even on vacation there is never time to relax. More pictures to come soon. I am too tired to do it now!

Grace turns 5!!!!

I can not believe it has been 5 years since I had my fist baby! Some days it seems like it has been 20, others, just yesterday. It has hit me hard that she is grown up and is almost in kindergarten. I have been remembering her as a baby and toddler. She was just as sweet then as she is now. Since her birthday was on a Sunday, she was able to open presents first thing in the morning. I thought about making her wait until after church, lunch and naps, but decided that was not a fun birthday.
For dinner she requested homemade pizza, and the kids got in on the action. Here she is cutting the olives.

She also did not want cake and ice cream, but a banana split. We opted to some jr. ones from Sonic. Lucky too, because she ate about 5 bites and was done. She liked it, she's not really an ice cream kind of girl. I can't say I blame her. I pretty much hate vanilla ice cream too!

Teeth

Here is just a cute picture of Olivia loving on Jed. They do this at least once a day. Now on to teeth. This girl LOVES to brush teeth. If she hears me tell Grace and Jed to brush teeth, she runs to the bathroom door and says teeth until we let her in. If we don't close the doors to the bathrooms, we find her on the stool with the water on and a toothbrush in her mouth.
Here she turned to water on by herself, and she will get on her tippy toes in order to put more water onto her brush.

Teeth brushing is so fun!
On a side note, she only has 4 teeth. Two on bottom, her top right tooth, and a molar! Who get molars before their front teeth?!?

SuperJed

My sister gave us a cape a while ago that has Superman on one side and Batman on the other. Jed has now become a fan of super heroes, so we have one in our house at all times, except for eating and sleeping. Jed wanted to show off his Superman moves, so here are a few examples. The first one is of him running "so, so, so, so, so fast" or else flying. I think it depends on how his hands were placed. Here he is lifting his bike to show off how strong his muscles are. Everything in our house is lifted like this about 10 times a day.

Grace was pushing Olivia around the grass on her bike, and they were having so much fun. I have come to enjoy Alabama, if only for the weather.(at least in winter!)

All Random

Jed was demonstrating to me how a bat sleeps. Notice the arms crossed across his body. I couldn't convince him to hang upside down. On a side note, the kids had to answer some questions for the spotlight at church.
"What is you favorite scripture story?"
Jed: Jesus' story
Grace: Ammon and chopping off arms
"Where do you want to serve a mission?"
Jed: Heaven
Grace: the Temple
And on the way home from church today Jed asked me is I would miss him if he went to heaven...cute boy.
