A few weeks with Rachael

We had the chance to spend a few weeks with Rachael when she and SueAnn were here. It was fun to see her funny personality and attitude. She and Olivia couldn't decide if they were friends of enemies. One way was beautiful so we biked/waggoned to the park and played. The best shot of all 4
On another beautiful day when it was just Rachael and Liv. We tried to get one of both, but they were not cooperating. Rachael is showing off her kitty shirt.

Jed playing pirate. Have we come to expect anything else?

Liv showing off her new trick. She was pretty excited to be so adventurous.
On the trampoline. Grace and her hair. They all loved to jump together.

During our trip to South Carolina, we went to Charleston and visited Fort Sumter. It was a freezing windy day, but we had fun and were with family. We had to ride a boat out to the fort, as it is a island. the kids thought it was the best part, naturally.
All 4 munchkins standing by a cannon facing the water.

A smaller cannon on display. Jed says "you could put a whole dog in there!" Yes, Jed, I suppose you could.

Jed watching out his makeshift window on the boat.
It was a fun time and was very interesting for me. Since we had to take a boat, there was a time limit as to how long we could stay. It would be an interesting place to walk around when it wasn't cold, and without kids. Maybe another time.

Christmas

So I am a little late with this post. We left the day after Christmas to go to South Carolina to be with my sister's family and parents for a few days. I convinced SueAnn's husband to let her come home with me, so we have been playing since we got home. We had the chance to see Santa, but Jed was the only child willing to sit on his lap. He asked for a "plane shooter", which was news to us. Needless to say, Santa may bring it next yer!
Christmas morning. Santa brought Jed and old school instrument. It can be changed from a recorder to a trombone, to a flute, to a kazoo. Santa in beginning to wonder about the wisdom of that particular gift.

Olivia on Christmas morning. She was pretty excited to open a few presents, and then just wanted to play with them, so a little coaxing was involved to open the rest, but she still had fun.

Grace opening a locket she asked Santa for. She wanted to put a picture of her and Olivia in it, but sadly pulled on it too hard and broke it. We are still trying to find a replacement.
