City Festival

Yesterday was our city festival with fireworks at dark. We took the kids a little early in order to get a spot on the grass, so we had a while to play. There are some of Grace and Jed doing "flips" and Livie just being cute. The last one of Olivia is of her standing at the fireplace playing with toys. She is so proud of herself when she stands like that.

She was in heaven in the dog house

Babyland Gerneral Hospital

While my sister and her family were here we went to Babyland General Hospital in northern Georgia. It is the birthplace of Cabbage Patch Kids and a unique, yet somewhat dull experience. The most exciting thing was the "live birth", where a new doll is born, and audience member get to name the baby. The rest were just displays, but still, it was a good time.

Summer Fun

We have had a fun week of summer fun. Between swimming, play dates, story time and fun walks, we have some pretty tired kids. I love it! Grace and her friend Jackson

Another baby!!!

Well, not technically a real baby, but a baby dog. Chris came home from Wal-mart yesterday with a new little dog. He was free(what else do you expect from a Wal-mart parking lot), but he is VERY sweet and we have had a great time with him so far. He has been named Captain Jack, as in Pirates of the Caribbean, since we love pirates now a days. The kids love him, we were doubting our selves on the wisdom of this decision, but after a full day with him and the kids outpouring of love, we are quite happy.
He even fascinates Olivia, which is helpful for me, with her new found freedom of movement.

Update

I thought I would do a little update on all the kids, since we have nothing great to share.

Jed is almost 3 and is the funniest little kid. The other day we were driving and Grace says "Mom, Jed threw his shoe at me." and I say "Jed, did you throw your shoe at grace?" and Jed says, "No, I missed her!" Such a little boy. We are working steadily at potty training and are getting better everyday. His current passion is pirates and he says he is a naughty one. Grace is a girl all the way! She loves princesses and reading and coloring. She is excited for school and riding the bus. She loves to read and laugh. Grace is a big helper and wants to do what is right. Her primary teacher is wonderful and she loves to go to church. The other day after church I asked her what they talked about. She said prayer, and then told us her teacher said if the dog was sick we don't take it out back and shoot it, but pray for it. Good to know!
Our sweet baby Olivia is now 8 months. She is still a little bug and as happy as ever. She is low/army crawling and rocking on her knees. She thinks she is a big girl. The other day I put her in the shower with the kids and she LOVED it. Happy and shrieking the whole time. I wish all babies were like her!
