For Christmas the kids all had a kite in their stocking. Well, sadly almost 4 months later we pulled them out. This was more due to my laziness than the weather, but it was cold!!!
It was a warm and somewhat breezy day, so I blew them up and off they went. Thankfully all you had to do was throw the kite it the air and run and it worked great. Grace was especially excited, and once Jed figured out he had to put his hand above his head, it worked well for him too! Olivia tried for a while, but decided it was more fun to take her shoes on and off.

Big Girl Bed
We have officially moved Olivia into a "big girl bed". She has been the longest to sleep in a crib, and this is the first time the crib has been down in 6 years. Funny the way I now measure the passing of time. For each of my children, I have made them a quilt when they moved to a big bed. They all are just strips of fabric, but it is easy, and then they will kind of coordinate when they share a room.

Happenings
We have had really uneventful times here at our house. It finally warmed up enough to get outside and enjoy life here. It has been the coldest winter in 30 years or something. Of course it would happen when we are here.
Anyway...I made a picnic dinner for us the other night, and the kids loved it. I was nice to not have to worry about too many dishes as well! The other exciting news is Grace finally lost her fist tooth. She it came out one morning, and she was so happy to try new tricks with a gap in her smile. We had spaghetti to suck and straws to carefully place. She is growing up too fast.

By The Numbers
5-hours spent at the doctor and pharmacy
4-days of missed school this week
3-prescriptions needed
2-pharmacies I had to go to
1-sick little kindergartner
Grace had a goopy eye Monday after school, so I took her in yesterday and found out she not only has pink eye, but strep throat AND the flu. She is out for the rest of the week. She is a trooper because even today she would have gone to school because she is so chipper and happy.
